Focus and Scope
Jurnal Satwa Sehat Indonesia (JSSI) is a nationally-based, internationally-scoped, peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Satwa Sehat Indonesia. JSSI is committed to advancing and disseminating scientific knowledge in animal and veterinary sciences to both national and international scientific communities.
Primary Focus
JSSI focuses on the development of scientific knowledge in the following areas:
- Veterinary Anatomical Pathology — including systemic pathology, histopathology, diagnostic cytology, and comparative pathology
- Veterinary Forensic Medicine — including post-mortem interval estimation, forensic toxicology, and animal death investigation
- Veterinary Public Health — including zoonotic diseases, food safety of animal origin, and disease epidemiology
- Animal Disaster Management — including emergency response, animal triage, and animal-based disaster management policy
Scope
JSSI accepts manuscripts covering a wide range of animal groups, including:
- Companion animals
- Food animals
- Wildlife
- Aquatic animals
- Laboratory animals
Accepted Manuscript Types
JSSI accepts manuscripts in the following forms:
- Original Research Articles — empirical research results that have not been previously published
- Case Reports — documentation of clinical or pathological cases with scientific value and novelty
- Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses — synthesis of scientific evidence using structured and reproducible methodology
- Review Articles — comprehensive overviews of specific topics based on current literature
Preferred Approaches
JSSI particularly welcomes studies employing the following approaches:
- Biomolecular — genomics, proteomics, and molecular diagnostics
- Epidemiological — disease surveillance, risk analysis, and outbreak modeling
