Peer Review Process
JSSI (Jurnal Satwa Sehat Indonesia) follows a double-blind peer review process. If a manuscript is deemed suitable, the editor will notify the author to make revisions. The revised manuscript must be submitted before the deadline to proceed to the copyediting and layout stages. Once the manuscript has been proofread by the editor, the author will be notified and must respond to the proofreading before the final publication online.
A manuscript may be rejected at the following stages:
- During the initial submission if it does not align with the journal’s focus and scope.
- Based on the peer-review process outcome.
- If the revisions do not comply with the reviewers’ recommendations.
- If the author fails to follow the editor’s instructions within the given deadline.
Rejection notifications will be sent to the author via the Open Journal System (OJS).
The editorial board’s decision is final and impartial.
On average, the article review process takes approximately 12 weeks, though the duration may vary depending on the time taken by editors and reviewers to complete their evaluations.
