Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
Authors submit their draft manuscripts through the Open Journal System (OJS). Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word, with figures in a minimum 300 dpi JPEG format. Figures should be placed on separate pages, sequentially numbered, and include captions. Tables must also be on separate pages, numbered accordingly, and include titles. The manuscript should follow the journal’s formatting guidelines in the following structure:
A. Original Research
Manuscripts should be single-spaced, in Times New Roman, 12-point font, and should not exceed 8,000 words or 20 A4 pages. A template is available for download.
- Title: The title should be concise, informative, and formatted in title case. Scientific terms or binomial nomenclature must be accurately stated.
- Author Information: Authors' full names (without abbreviations or titles) should be listed. If multiple authors have different affiliations, Arabic numeral superscripts should be used. Affiliation details must include the laboratory, department, institution, city, postal code, country, ORCID ID, and email. The corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*).
- Abstract: A brief summary (maximum 250 words) covering the study’s objective, methodology, results, and conclusions. Abbreviations should be defined before use, and references should not be included.
- Keywords: Three to five keywords, listed in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons.
- Introduction: This section should outline the study's background, significance, and contribution, supported by relevant and up-to-date references. Redundant citations should be avoided.
Materials and Methods
- Ethical Approval: If the study involves animals or invasive procedures, the ethics certificate number and issuing institution must be included. If not applicable, provide justification.
- Study Period and Location: Specify the time frame (month and year) and the location where samples were collected or analyzed.
- Experimental Design: Detail the methodology, including population selection, sampling techniques, ethical considerations, and euthanasia methods (if applicable). Subheadings may be adjusted based on the study design.
- Evaluation: Describe laboratory and field tests, observations, and assessments. The methods should be detailed enough for replication, including the equipment and materials used, along with manufacturer details.
- Data Collection: Explain how data was gathered, the instruments used, and the manufacturer details (if applicable).
- Data Analysis: Describe how data was tabulated, statistical methods used, and software applied. Equations and formulas may be included if necessary.
Results
Where possible, use tables to present data. The text should summarize key findings without duplicating table or figure content. Tables and figures should be referenced appropriately (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
Discussion
This section should interpret the results in relation to biological mechanisms and existing research. It should clearly state whether the hypotheses were supported or refuted. Study limitations should be acknowledged.
Conclusions
Summarize the study’s objectives and key findings concisely.
Acknowledgments
Include details of funding sources, grant numbers, institutional support, and contributions from assistants or experts.
Author Contributions
Specify each author's role using categories such as Conceptualization, Methodology, Software, Validation, Formal Analysis, Investigation, Data Curation, Writing (Original Draft, Review & Editing), Visualization, Supervision, Project Administration, and Funding Acquisition.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors should declare any potential conflicts of interest or state "The authors declare no conflicts of interest."
References
References should follow APA style, be alphabetically sorted, and primarily consist of journal articles (>80%). References should be from the past 10 years.
